:wtf: The rabbit hole gets deeper.

from ThinkProgress:

Sens. Craig and Vitter team up to co-sponsor Marriage Protection Amendment.»

Larry Craig and David Vitter — “two United States Senators implicated in extramarital sexual activity” — have named themselves as co-sponsors of S.J. Res. 43, the Marriage Protection Amendment. If passed, the bill would amend the Constitution to declare that marriage “shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman.”

6. I rise to offer an amendment to subject amendment
To assist those in our country who insist on telling everyone they have christian conservative values, the amendment will include the caveat that christians shall not be allowed to divorce. Amendment amended for the sake of the sanctity of marriage.

Looking for approval from their constituencies. They KNOW that this is a non-starter, but their troops of christian soldiers aren't that bright.

I think this would fit in well with the fifth reich that Hunter Thompson described in his writings.

The shit just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
