I 'fried' Melissa Bean after she voted FOR FISA last week
What follows is her response to me telling her I would not vote for her again:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Dear xxx,
I know the last few weeks have been difficult for many of you, particularly those of you in the Chain O Lakes and northern Lake County where flooding has been intense. I’ve been working closely with local, state, and federal disaster officials and am relieved to announce that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has declared Lake County homes and businesses eligible for individual assistance.
This follows a meeting Senator Durbin and I had with the FEMA administrator and our letter to the President requesting this declaration due to the flooding damage in our communities.
This assistance is available to individuals, families, or businesses that have seen their property damaged or destroyed by the recent flooding. Even those with insurance may qualify for some assistance.
If you've been affected by flooding, you can contact FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA or visit their website at www.fema.gov to see if you qualify for assistance and to apply. Even if you have already reported damage to local officials or the American Red Cross, you must apply with FEMA to be considered for federal disaster assistance.
Disaster assistance may include:
Grants to help pay for temporary housing and repairs to make a home habitable.
Grants for serious disaster-related expenses not covered by insurance.
Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for individuals and business owners to cover residential and business losses not fully compensated by insurance.
Residents who apply for disaster assistance can expect to hear from an inspector who will schedule a visit to look at damaged property. FEMA schedules inspections to verify losses, if the damaged property is accessible. The SBA also sends loss verifiers to inspect damaged property if you have submitted a completed loan application. In addition, local building and safety inspectors may come to see if damaged structures are safe. All inspectors should have photo identification and there is no fee for these inspections.
Remember to keep your receipts for any flood repairs that you may have already completed.
Please contact my office if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you, and I’m hopeful that together our communities can quickly recover.
Sincerely,
Melissa L. Bean
Member of Congress
2. Well, she does stay right on top of things, doesn't she?
Easy to see why she'd be supportive of a bill that does so much for her constituents! :eyes:
