Seen any "Support Our Troops" magnets recently?

I've been observing for the past couple of days and on the probably thousands of vehicles I see during my daily travels, I've noticed exactly one.

Seems like the "never forget" people are having memory lapses.

Of course, they never really meant "Support Our Troops" - what they really meant was "Support Our President" :eyes:

6. If I do see them on a vehicle (which is rarely) they are usually

around ten of them with the fish symbol thing too.

10. I ask people with those magnets in parking lots...

so, what are you doing to support the troops? 99.9% of the time they are sporting a stupid magnet on their car and doing NOTHING ELSE - I give them a card with www.anysoldier.com on it but I doubt they do anything. Like flag lapels, they are meaningless symbols.

8. In Los Angeles...

I've seen quite a few that say:

Support our troops. Bring them home.

We have a lot of freeway blogging too... I blow my horn enthusiastically when I actually see them being put up. I can tell my little support gesture is appreciated:)

9. Seen a few legacy "yellow ribbons"

Even saw a McCain sticker on a <gasp> Mercedes

And a big "respect the flag" mural that was heavily worn out of shape.

12. I've seen one that says "support the magnetic ribbon industry"

but I have also seen many of the "support our troops" variety, also.

13. They are all over where I Iive, but

I am right by a naval air base and right down the road from BIW. I still see a few Bush/Cheney 04 stickers too. I have only seen one McCain sticker so far.

Lots of Obama stickers.

14. Every time I drive

I see several. But I am in red San Diego. I still see the deranged W04 oval stickers here too --- makes me crazy.

15. No, but I did see a "Baby on Board" magnet.

Maybe they're making a comeback.
