McCain tells Fox he will become the Presidential victor "IN THE LAST 48 HOURS"
Edited on Fri Jun-27-08 06:21 PM by Bluebear
:scared: Good heavens, what does he have planned??

----

John McCain predicted the general election race would come down to the buzzer Friday, declaring himself the underdog but quipping that he’d ride to victory in the last “48 hours.”

The comment came as new polls show Barack Obama leading nationally and in several key swing states.

McCain may be hoping to reprise his nomination fight, in which he revived his flailing campaign just as primaries began.

“I’m the underdog. I’m behind,” the presumptive GOP nominee told reporters in Ohio

“I’ve got to catch up and get ahead. And I expect to do that about 48 hours before the general election,” he said with a laugh.

26. And 2006 -- which they would have stolen if it wasn't for Mark Foley
Remember Karl Rove and *THE* math? They had that thing rigged in October, but Foley ruined the margin they'd planned on.

13. This man "Obama" is far superior to any candidate we have
fielded in a long, long, time. We won't take Republican bullshit laying down. He gives it right back to him. I believe in my heart that if John Kerry had just said in a debate "I will not have my military service questioned by a man who served his time in a unit full of overpriveledged sons known as the Champagne Unit" he would have won.

Obama won't take their shit lying down. Rest assured of that.

25. Especially "if" mcWorse is behind in most polls 72 hours before...
... like we "logically" think he will be ...

... these war criminals will stop at NOTHING in order to USE FEAR ...

... while the ME probably blows up in fumes as Iran retaliates (24 hours before the VOTE), they will catapult mcWorse's "military experience" on FAUX, and all their other proprietary cable "non-news" outlets 24/7 ...

8. Probably the same thing
which happened in 2000 and 2004--a stolen election. It certainly is within the realm of possibility and probability. I can only be grateful that Wally O'Dell and Diebold don't own as much as they did in 2004, especially, and that Obama has the cajones to stay in and fight for a recount if that's what's going to happen. I wouldn't discount people rioting if they steal it this time--we're not the only ones fed up and angry this time, though.

I was very sad when John Kerry caved so easily in 2004--it was definitely worth fighting for, and he chose not to do it. It would have been a whole different world if he had stuck to his guns.

12. Does he really want to risk the citizenry revolting?
People suspected in 2000 that something stunk, but thought that an election could not be stolen.

In 2004, even republicans knew the "official" vote didn't add up, they secretly grumbled about another four years (anyone notice the belligerent arrogant taunting and belittling didn't occur after 2004?) and everyone else knew that he did it again.

This time, republicans have made a mass exodus and are even demanding change from self destructive republican rule, while the Democratic Party has swelled with masses desperately needing relief from republican oppression and regression. They are only risking the flash-point that sets off the powder keg that they have been sitting fat on. People don't know if they can make it another six months, and Grand Pappy McSame wants to tell everyone four more years of being pissed on and shit on.

15. The problem for McCain...
...is that, unlike in the primaries, he isn't running against Giuliani, Huckabee, Romney, and Thompson.

He won the G.O.P. nomination by being the best and the brightest of the Five Stooges. He's not going to have that advantage in the general.

so, he's just admitting he doesn't have a chance in hell, and the 48 hrs reference is just a joke. He laughed.

Or maybe he's going to have Bush bomb bomb bomb Iran.

We have to show up to the polls in even greater numbers than with Kerry, otherwise they will surely steal the election, black box voting style.

24. And don't forget that those darn exit polls just can't be trusted..
Don't forget those earnest discussions on TV in 2004 where we worked so hard to explain away those discrepancies in those awful exit polls that showed Kerry in the lead. Look at all the conflicting polls these days. They just fluctuate a lot. We need you to feel that on a gut level. Can't trust poll data. Varies widely. Depends on sample. Just can't trust it.

So you've just got to wait until that famous Republican dribs & drabs method of vote manipulation bears the correct fruit. Just be patient and wait til "all the votes are counted" by Republican methods and on Republican machines without paper trails. It may look like Obama's sweeping the nation on election day but give it a few hours-- then the Glorious Underdog will Surge Ahead in the middle of the night.

And the corporate media probably already has some earnest panel discussions and concerned special reports ready too, on how the USA "just wasn't ready" for an African American president. In addition to trotting out that old footage showing how those distinguished polling firms got it wrong last time.

POST SCRIPT>>> That final statement in your clip-- I wish we could get it on video and You Tube it around. It could galvanize more people to be on the lookout for the now standard Republican tricks. For an excellent review of Republican multiple methods of vote manipulation see www.uncountedthemovie.com

That is one statement that has, alas, NOT become "inoperative."

McCain's operation talks to Rove daily. That is not because he
wants to know Rove's formula for a weight-loss diet.
