UGA's popular mascot Uga VI dies of heart failure
Caution, if you mock this story, I will hunt you dont and hurt you.

The University of Georgia's beloved and Churchillian English bulldog mascot Uga VI died peacefully Friday night in Savannah of congestive heart failure after serving nine years on the Bulldog sidelines as the school's winningest mascot.

During his reign as mascot, the UGA football team compiled a record of 87 wins and 27 losses, captured the 2002 and 2005 Southeastern Conference championships, and won six of eight bowl games, surpassing Uga IV's record of 77-24-4.

But I will see after the Florida-Georgia game. UGA and I include the others too, one of my favorite college mascots.

16. He bit Auburn's Robert Baker on the sideline.
I was at that game. It was the first year they had overtime for ties, and it was in the record books as the longest game (4 OTs) in D-1 history for a while. UGA won 56-49. I think Arkansas and Ole Miss later went 6 or 7 OTs.

9. That ain't no dog...Get a REAL dog.

That's a freaking dog.
A blue tick hound.
They write songs about dogs like these.
Wanna guess what this dogs favorite song is?
You get to say the words "Rocky Top" a bunch.
It's fun!

UGA V? looks like 60 lbs of dried up bologna perched on four chicken wings.
Little kids have to get on their knees to pet that animal.
Kinda like a cat.

Get a real dog.
Rocky Top Tennessee!

(OK - sorry. I couldn't resist)
Actually, I like UGA - I think I saw a special somewhere on animal mascots and I understand the UGA lore.
They also did Ralphie the CU Buffalo (a huge beast, I saw him up close) and a few others.

So, I raise my glass to UGA IV and wish the little low-rider well.

Where they going to bury him?
Fresno State?

Sorry.

17. The shock of Georgia actually beating Florida this year probably did the guy in.
Lord knows that only happens once in a dog's life.
