Bush History: Saturday 6/28 (Is This a Moral Person? You Decide)
Consider the morality of Bush's claim made on this date, that we must "defeat them abroad (in Iraq) before they attack us at home". Consider the trade-off involved in what our 'born again' president is saying. The details reveal the immorality and yes, unChristian motivation, that is clearly revealed when Bush actually BOASTS that he is fighting "them abroad before they attack us at home". For shame President Bush. For shame. Please read more ...

2. Proxy War = surrogates do the fighting and dying IS a Great Moral Crime because
Essentially those in favor of the War are saying "____________________ is worth Human Life as long as that life is NOT mine." Not only is this Blasphemy (acting like God), this kind of thinking is the EXACT opposite of moral decision making.

Moral decision making which goes something more like this "________________________________ is so inherently valuable that I will risk my own life for it." There is nothing immoral about combat between those who have FREELY chosen to risk death for _________________. The problem with genuine moral behavioral decisions is the question of being FREE. Most of us are not Free; we make decisions about enlisting in the Armed Forces, risking our lives, killing others and Destroying lives and property under the influences of ALL KINDS OF

BRAINWASHING

, religion, economic, racial, etc. Without genuine Freedom, these are immoral choices.

One good test of the morality of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq is to ask yourself a question: How many Iraqis would have died if they were White Christians?

3. That Bush would boast about this to the American people is sickening
Thanks for the great reply, and your closing question. You hit the immorality of Bush's claim right on the head. Making a choice to save innocent US lives by sacrificing innocent Iraqi lives is not moral. That Bush would boast about this to the American people is sickening.

6. Like you, I continue to be amazed at the moral Hypocrisy and few seem to even notice!!!
I was raised conservative Catholic; these last 8 years have been very disorienting to my ethical universe. I keep wondering who "we" are. I thought I knew, but I guess I don't. And you've pegged it! What is most surprising is how some people, lead by their little demi-god, actually BRAG about "our" horrible horrible sins.

"The surge is 'working'; don't pay any attention to those 5,000,000 Iraqi orphans."
