Stephen Baldwin to leave country if Obama is elected
That will hopefully be a permanent move! :nopity:

Celebrity on politics: I'll leave country
Posted June 29, 2008 7:30 AM
The Swamp

Add Stephen Baldwin to the ranks of celebrities who have threatened to leave the country based on which candidate for president wins an election. In 2000, it was Alec Baldwin and Barbra Streisand who made that pledge if Bush won the election. (They didn't really move).

Now, Stephen Baldwin, the younger of the Baldwin brother actors, says he will leave the United States if Sen. Barack Obama wins the election. (Baldwin supports McCain).

Baldwin also adds this insight into celebrity culture:

"You're going to have lot of celebrities coming out just because quote un-quote they want change, whatever, without really fully recognizing who the best person for the job is, which is kind of scary to me," Baldwin tells Fox News.

Our colleagues at Top of The Ticket have more on this story here.

And if Obama wins....What are we ever going to do without the artist who brought us such cinematic masterpieces as Threesome?

I wish Tom Coburn and John Cornyn would leave the country.

67. A RW evangelical hack, going after "the youth"
And not very successfully. Used to be an actor (wasn't very good at it), now wants to be a preacher (also not very good at it). Also obsessed with the premillenialist claptrap about The Rapture, and how god turned his life around, etc.

You've heard of the expression "not the sharpest knife in the drawer?" He's a spoon. I really feel kind of bad for him.

Someone is packing a suitcase
(Narrator) "It's time we got this country back on track."

Putting toiletries in a bag
(N) "It's time to restore the rule of law."

Walks by a t.v. that shows Obama waving to a cheering crowd
(N) "It's time to vote Obama."

The door slams
(N) "And say goodbye to Stephen Baldwin."

Obama for president

22. Bye bye, Stevie
Ya might want to write once in a while to remind us who the hell you are anyway.

Isn't Stevie the one who recently got religion? That's his motivation. He's another idiot who thinks the pugs are the ons with values. Abortion of course is the only thing that matters. Not how many people we kill, not that we are bankrupt, not that we are heading toward a police state, not that families don't feel they can afford another child. Only ABORTION. It's the only important issue in AMerica. Wait, I was wrong. Keeping money going to the church through faith based initiatives is almost equally important.

"...they want change, whatever, without really fully recognizing who the best person for the job is, which is kind of scary to me," Baldwin tells Fox News.

Pretty scary to me to Stevie boy.

This whole "Celebrity Y will leave the country if X is elected President" is a pathetic grab at publicity.

If people like Stephen Baldwin and yes, Alec Baldwin and Barbara Streisand want to make public promises like that then I wish they would actually do it and stop whining because you're guy/gal lost.

I would like to suggest to all you celebs reading my post, :) , that instead of threatening to leave America you might consider staying and try to make the country a better place for you and all that live here.

Threatening to leave the country, liberal or conservative, just makes me laugh at you.

I just did a search for him on IMDB.com, and while he's kept busy, the last "big-name" movie he's been in is, "The Flinstones: Viva Rock Vegas" as Barney Rubble (and that flopped).

Maybe Joe Estevez (brother of Martin Sheen) and star of at least two movies mocked by MST3K will join him.

I just feel sorry for whatever country has to endure whatever second rate reality shows and soft porn he thrusts upon them.

There is a special kind of terminal delusion that must permeate the whole of a being like this who actually thinks that any thought, feeling, word, or component of his very existence is of relevance or interest to any living creature on this planet.

My only request is that he take Dennis Miller with him.

Well, actually there is a list about two miles long that I wish he'd take with him, but let's face it, his sphere of influence can only be so big.

We need to set up the perfect Christian-Right-Fundamentalist / Ayn Rand / Libertarian / Authoritarian / Corporate Utopia.

And then they can just kill each other and leave us alone.

71. I hope he takes Arnold Schwarzenegger with him.
That's two Repukes I won't miss. Let them go to Dubai with Dick Cheney and Halliburton. Maybe Arnold can run for President there.

78. Good! He can join his brother Alec...Oh wait.
This is the stupidest statement that any celebrity or pretty much anyone can make. I thought it was stupid when Bush being elected was the reason, I think it is equally stupid in this case. Just GO! For God's sake. Just Go!
