McConnell: Senate GOP 'won’t be in the majority' next year
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) gave a bleak outlook on the prospects for a Republican-led Senate in 2009.

During an interview with CNN’s Late Edition, McConnell told guest host Candy Crowley that the numbers were not in the GOP’s favor.

“We are not going to be back in the majority in the Senate next year,” said McConnell. “The numbers make that impossible.”

1. What a bold prediction
Next thing you know, he'll REALLY go out on a limb and predict
that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning.

Whereas the Republicon Homelanders have brought nothing but bleakness, corruption, and perversion to the formerly fruited plains...

5. remember when Mitch was the man?
the power broker... the guy who raissed the cash for senate repubs - and was the gatekeeper to the powerful senators... back when he and tom delay cooked up innumerous schemes for paytoplay power politics and keep the dems in the minority. He was mighty confident back then. Now he has to keep locking over his shoulder as his opponent in Kentucky is climbing closer in the polls.

We won't miss you for a minute Mitch. Not to worry I am sure that all the powerbrokering, and labor dept privatization contracts (ala your wife) will make sure that you are well taken care of after you are sent packing from th senate. Too bad your constituents won't be able to say the same... their prospects kept growing dimmer while you played powerbroker (and money.campaigncash.broker) to the rich and willing to donate.
