Isn't Obstruction of Justice an Impeachable Offense?
Federal Prosecutors are being removed from office -fired- to stop them from pursuing investigations and cases against Republicans. This is obstruction of justice. Today's Senate hearing and the New York Times article tell us as much. Each of those Prosecutors serves at the discretion of the President. It doesn't make a whit of difference who made the phone calls to fire each of them, it doesn't matter if it was Alberto himself who swung the axe. Only the President has the authority to fire them and if they were fired for the reasons given today then it is only the President who is responsible for this widespread and continuing obstruction of justice. If that is not impeachable as a capital offense what on earth is?

1. Yes it is.
It was one of the charges on Nixon before he decided to cut and run.

2. It is a "high crime". The answer is yes.
Impeachment hearings need to begin.

3. Pull the string. That's the trick.
If you can't follow the string back to the WH, then you can't do a thing.

5. Only The President Has The Authority To Fire Them
So it it is his authority that is the string back to the whitehouse.

7. Not if he DELEGATED it.
And that can happen with the stroke of a pen.

10. Don't Think He Can, Not Appointment nor Pardon
Appointment and Pardon, neither of them may be delegated as far as I know. Every Presidential Appointee is just that, appointed by the president. Anyone else is simply 'hired' by somebody else.

11. No, not appointing--FIRING. After all, Nixon didn't fire Archibald Cox.
He told Richardson to do it--he delegated it.

And when Richardson refused, he delegated it again--to Robert BORK.

There is absolutely no way we have of knowing if Bush wrote a memo giving the power to fire to a staffer. And knowing this administration, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he did that.

6. Virtually everything Bush has done is an impeachable offense.
Yet there he is, pretending to be president as we speak.

8. There is not lack of impeachable offenses for this administration.
What we are lacking is a Congress willing to impeach.

If they decided jay-walking was a "high crime or misdemeanor" then it is.
