"The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" Bugliosi in NYT today
Mr. Bugliosi, in a recent telephone interview from his home in Los Angeles, said he had expected some resistance from the mainstream media because of the subject matter — the book lays a legal case for holding President Bush “criminally responsible” for the deaths of American soldiers in Iraq — but not a virtual blackout.

The editor of Newsweek, Jon Meacham, said he had not read the manuscript, but he offered a reason why the media might be silent: “I think there’s a kind of Bush-bashing fatigue out there.”

Mr. Bugliosi has had more than 100 radio interviews about the book, and Vanguard was behind an aggressive Internet campaign that included ads on liberal blogs. “It’s been frustrating on one hand but exhilarating on the other,” Mr. Cooper said.

Bush-bashing fatigue????????? I don't think I've seen that anywhere at the media outlets. Can someone list all the Bush-bashing in the media this week? Please.

1. K&R!
Edited on Mon Jul-07-08 05:04 PM by BeHereNow
All citizens NEED to read this book!
The LAW is not partisan and must be upheld by those
elected to public office.

THAT is Bugliosi's bottom line.

3. "Bush-bashing fatigue"
Yeah, sure. Media coverage of all of Bush's crimes would be HARD WORK. Is that the best excuse the brains at Newsweek could come up with for not, you know, actually bothering to do a creditable job of it? Where was the fatigue when Bill was prez, hmm? Sad.

At least Bugliosi and his book finally got mentioned by a major news outlet, however backhanded the article. It is a little surprising that neither TDS nor Colbert has wanted to interview him.

8. Bush bashing . . . when was the tipping point
The media must have already been experiencing "Bush-bashing fatigue" in the winter of 2001 when Vincent Bugliosi wrote an article in The Nation about the legally untenable arguments contained in the Supreme Court's Bush v. Gore decision. It was entitled "None Dare Call It Treason" and an expanded book version was published soon afterwards. That book did not receive any significant publicity from the MSM either. So the media must have reached its "Bush-bashing fatigue" tolerance level relatively quickly. I must have missed all the Bush bashing that the media is so tired of. Maybe I was in the kitchen getting a snack or something. Call me Supergirl, but I'm not fatigued yet. Bring on more Bush bashing. I can't get enough of the stuff.

9. How is laying out a case for criminal indictment
"bashing"?

"Bush is an idiot" - that's bashing even though it's true.

Trumping up an impeachment for a personal peccadillo - that's bashing.

Calling out the facts in a well-reasoned examination of the administration's lies to the American people to engage in an elective, aggressive invasion of a non-threatening sovereign nation is not bashing.

12. There sure wasn't any "Clinton-bashing fatigue" when he managed...
a Surplus, a record-time high value of the $ (to spend on vacations, useless-but-funny crap, etc...), and a booming economy!

Right... :sarcasm:

No. There wasn't ANY "Bill Clinton-bashing fatigue" in the Repukes' Owned M$M!!

Guess it was just a "Thrill of the Moment" fashion show...
