Pet owners favor McThuselah?
According this Yahoo story, pet owners favor McCain by a large margin..

1. It's not the pet owners that like McCain, it's the pets
Some cats see McCain and think of things they just left in the litter box. Some dogs see McCain and think of him as an old bone to be buried. But either way you look at, the first thing that most cats and dogs think of when they look at McCain is that he bears an eerie resemblance to their favorite old, worn-out and misshapen toy.

3. That's like a dog falling "in love" with his fire hydrant...
It's comforting to know it is out there, convenient when you need it, but in the end, all he really wants to do is pee on it...

5. Certainly not THIS pet owner...
And the Amazing Lana Cat would treat McSame with all the contempt that he deserves, while Candace, who usually loves everyone, would piss all over him.

8. I read that earlier and my thought was....
wow, they're really having to hunt for ways to have the polls favor McCain. And there had to be some BS way they ran the poll because I use Yahoo all the time for news and never saw a poll like this. I'm guessing it was sent to a very defined group of people.

Disclaimer: I have 3 dogs and 1 cat and would never, never, never vote for McCain.

9. This guy is senile...

Richard Powell, 79, of Spokane, Wash., whose dog passed away last fall, said if a person owns a pet that "tells you that they're responsible at least for something, for the care of something."

This guy probably hasn't watched the animal control shows on Animal Planet. Too many "pet owners" don't take care of their pets. He probably doesn't pay attention to the news pertaining to the likes of Michael Vick or Amish breeders.

I didn't get my first pet as an adult until 6 years ago. For over 30 years I didn't get a pet because I didn't think it was right to have a pet while I was away from home for 10 hours or more.

As a rescue person I would rather people not adopt if they can't afford to take care of themselves. I wonder how many don't realize the cost of feeding and providing for the health of pets.

It looks like you can still be a difference maker.

My parrot hates McCain.
My dogs bark at McCain.
My plants hate McCain.

That poll is wrong!
