Radical or moderate?
I haven't participated much on DU in the last year or two. This site seemed to go too far to the radical "kill 'em all" end of the spectrum, so I sorta dropped out for a while. I am not a recent donor, and polling is now restricted for non-money-givers, so I can only ask for replies:

Do you consider yourself a radical leftist, or a moderate? Maybe Clintonian "Third Way" left-of-center"? Do tell.

I am not concerned with semantics or Lakoffian linguistics (or any intellectual answer), but rather with honest introspective self-appraisal, even gut responses. I want to know whether I belong here anymore, and how relevant (measured by how extreme) this message board is.

4. I'm so far "Left" wing that, in many ways, I'm also "Right" wing.
The essence of being a Liberal, afterall, is INCLUSION.

Sorry, but when using language, you can't avoid what you refer to as "Lakoffian linguistics" - that fact has to do with the nature of language itself.

One thing I'm not RW about is bullshit Wars!

6. Radical. Marxist-Socialist. Supporting Obama.
I'm not getting all upset about Obama's position on FISA, faith-based funding, and what not. I'm not surprised and I know it's the situation we face in this country because the corporations control the entire system.

9. I'm a Populist, not a Progressive.
Too many Progressive seem willing to sell out Americans, and American jobs, in the name of some higher Internationalist ideal.

15. Europaean-type socialist!
Well to the left of most American Democrats on most issues.

Great admirer of Scandinavia (have been to Norway and loved it.)

Not 'moderate' by any means; but some may think me moderate because I'm opposed to the sort of 'mirror-image-ism' that allows some 'radicals' to support right-wingers and dictators if they are against Bush and his allies.

I am applying for positions in London currently. I want to be an American expat. I don't need to live in Denmark, Britain will do. In fact, I much desire it. I no longer strive to change this country (the U.S.).

edit: addendum: I am attracted to the English culture and London financial markets.
