It is a well done parody, but it isn't funny. By the time you get to the end, all that shit you forgot about over the last seven years comes back.
But buy a copy anyway -- support the truth!

3. The interview with the authors emphasized that the parody has very serious elements. |
|
A toy plane crashing into two towers of blocks was held up as not just unfunny but potentially in bad taste. Poignant for sure.

4. I bought the book last night. $15 at Borders. Worth every penny. |

Don't show it to the 27%ers -- they'll go insane. But everyone else will like it.

5. I bought it for my boys this weekend |

They love it. Instead of the tiny mouse to find on each page is a tiny ossama. It is very cleverly done.

The real book, btw, was my son's favorite at 1 and is now my daughter's favorite. She's 1 now.

8. I love the messages in the blocks. |

One of the messages would be a real hit with the conspiracy theorists here at DU.

12. Funny thing about that book at Borders.... |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-09-08 08:39 AM by Buzz Clik
I ran a search on Borders's web site to see if the local store had it in stock. I couldn't get the information but it was suggested that I could easily order it.
When I got to the store, I checked their computer, and it said they "might" have it in stock in the Humor section. After 15 minutes of searching, I finally found the book on a very high shelf and totally out of sight.
Clearly, Borders isn't exactly pushing that title.
