The 4th amendment is going to be eviscerated
tomorrow - Jonathan Turley. It's being done for political reasons. it is not a compromise.

1. I love Jonathan Turley ... he absolutely speaks truth
Which is why his pronouncement about what's going down
tomorrow is so chilling.

23. With all due respect to Jonathan Turley, I don't like how this is being framed...

isn't it possible that with enough political pressure from constituents (phone calls, etc.) that Senators might compromise by taking out telecom immunity, or delaying it, and passing the bill in its amended form? I realize that Bush has threatened to veto the bill if immunity is removed, but what about the proposed amendment to delay immunity for 3 months allowing for congressional review?

9. Same difference
And let us not forget: They won with the seemingly enthusiastic assistance of the Democrats.

3. I wonder why...
so little fuss is being made about this.

Don't people still revere the US Constitution?

6. My guess at this point is that most just think like GWB... It's just a piece of paper....
We are so F***ed in this country... When our own Congress members are letting us down, it's time to put the closed sign on the door.

12. They sure don't think so when it's the 2nd Amendment!
Apparently, the others don't matter, though.

Rachel said it was "heart wrenching"

I guess I'll let her speak for me.

22. Why should they when We The People don't care enough to strike fear in their hearts?
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 09:31 PM by TahitiNut
 When the politicians stop fearing The People, then The People should be afraid of the politicians.

I'm trying to compose myself because I have every intention of e-mailing Dick Durbin and Barack Obama about how I feel. This is traitorous at the very least....

Goddamn them all to hell... Reid, Pelosi, Hoyer and the rest.

20. Yes, it is.
There is no way in hell a bunch of conservatives could have written it. The Constitution of the United States is a LIBERAL document. It is one reason the neocons hate it so.
