I'm going to continue to donate to Obama. |

It's surprising to see so many so quickly bailing out... especially after he's opted out of public funding.
Disturbing, too.

But if actual Dems are bailing... that's worrisome.
Plays right into McCain's hands... but... oh well, I guess.

However, I am not an infiltrator but I am very disenchanted and upset with his FISA vote. I am afraid he is jeopardizing our chances in November by not standing up for the Constitution and allowing the Bush agenda to continue.
I hope Skinner does not clean me up from DU :)

Otherwise, my money will go to Texas Democrats who share my views on the Constitution. We've got a state to turn blue, after all.

I agree it's disturbing, but Obama will be in the White House in spite of all this fear based neocon spun antiBama crap.
I know that I FOR SURE DON'T want another Alito or Roberts appointed to the SCOTUS and I know that I want someone who thinks and reads to occupy the White House.. someone who listens to others and tries to figure out all the angles. Get him in there.. he is a reasonable man.. things can be sorted out.. things CAN keep changing even AFTER the election...
I don't want the 'other W'... John McCain the WAR candidate.. no way

8. There is a consorted effort, mostly by the MSM to exploit disagreements within the party |
|
Of course their corporate agenda is to divide and conquer so mccain gets in
I would like to believe we are not so influenced
In the end it will come to a choice between Obama and mccain
If the Supreme Court, Iraq, healthcare, the environment, etc. mean anything to you, the choice is clear

Those that encourage others not to donate money to Obama is tantamount to saying do not support Obama, and I question the credentials of those individuals

I still will vote for him, mostly because he's the best of bunch to pick from. But I'm finally getting tired of backing the "least worst option" which after so much promise he (at least to me) is now turning out to be (However he's still better than McCain).
Plus this may be that (IMO) much needed shot across Obama's bow warning him NOT to take the democratic base for granted. Which he seems to be doing now.

I'll be doing the same thing...
Obama's *got* to win the GE, and we've *got* to enlarge the number of seats we've already got in Congress. And we have got to achieve some type of general consensus-- within both the Democratic party and progressive movement.
It's going to take at least that amount of solidarity to begin the arduous process of cleaning up after Bush's scorched earth policies, and begin repairing and restoring a portion (if nothing else) of everything that had been dissolved, bled to death, or destroyed during this administration*

But I never did. I was one who was already despondent that our only choices came down to him or Hillary, who I basically saw and see largely as interchangeable corporate mouthpieces (though undeniably likely to incrementally improve at least some things during their time in office).
I'll vote for him, though. There's no choice... :(

I'm only pissed off at those who are crowing about it... and seemingly trying to encourage other Dems to do the same.
He opted out of public financing, and word is that a lot of people have stopped contributing or maxed out for the primary, so there might actually be a cash flow problem for the next 6 weeks or so.

"So many people bailing out"? Is Obama actually hurting in his fundraising? Have the people who objected to his FISA vote actually caused him to fall behind in fundraising? Can you provide a link to support that?
All I owe Obama is my vote, as long as he is the best man running. I can spend my money wherever I want to spend it, and it's none of your concern whether I give it to Obama or spend it on an ice cream cone. Right now, I'm gravitating towards the ice cream.
Maybe AT&T can pick up the slack?

Democrats are not nearly as enamored of this candidate as you are. Possibly even most. We'll vote for him, but we're NOT happy, we're NOT enthusiastic, and each day that goes by, as he flings himself into the arms of the Right, it makes our vote for him a little more bitter and a little less sweet.
I am not at all surprised to see so many lose their taste for Obama and his candidacy - but please don't use the strawman that that means we're not going to vote for him. We are.
