you know, this fisa bullshit is exactly why senators shouldn't run for president |
|
there's no doubt that obama knows damn well that he should have voted against the shitty bill. he also knows that McCorpse would have used a "no" vote to paint him as soft on fighting terror and the mindless lemmings would buy it.
this is why it's so easy to paint senators as flip-floppers and why governors always win when they're pitted against senators. this year, the only reason we have a chance is because the repukes are running a senator against our senator. that's why, even though he looks and talks like a sleazy used car salesman, the repukes really wanted mitt romney.

3. Obama could have taken a stand against Bush |
|
And gained major points.
Instead, he caved to a lame duck and a lame duck applying for the 1st lame duck's job.
Where is this in the book of brilliant political strategy?

Governors usually beat congressmen everything else being equal. Sad but true. Hey at least our guy actually cast a vote. The wrong vote but....

8. so true. but every time a non-politician like nader runs..... |
|
...democrats attack him.
obviously, we know why. he hurts the chances of the dem candidate and then you end up with a repuke.
so, we really have no choice....it's either a politician from one party or from the other party.

I think Senator Obama knew exactly what he was voting for. We should support his vote, not argue about it.

11. Yes I do. Do you support our nominee? |
|
Because Senator Obama, who knows more about it than anyone here on this website, decided it was the right vote to make. Do you support our nominee?

12. Why would he know more about it than anyone here? Is he omniscient? |
|
No, he's a one-term senator and last time I checked, a regular human who ain't perfect. Disagreeing with a vote is not equal to non-support.

"If, on the other hand, you’re way ahead of me, and believe the extreme right-wing elements in America are poised to take it over, permanently, I think you can still get a lot from this book."
It's a free country, you can think that if you want. It's very brave of you to post it.

22. If he thought it was the right thing to do why did he switch his vote? |
|
He promised to vote against it during the primaries. Now he's just a proven liar. I never did like or trust him so I am not surprised.
