Actually, if you are called to testify in a civil case, you can plead the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination to avoid testifying. It isn't as easy as it sounds. You have to persuade the judge that you qualify to plead the Fifth.
Immunity against civil suit would not immunize you against a criminal charge. I'm not sure how the FISA immunity will be interpreted.
