1. Iran is a threat to Israel--supposedly. It's a threat to Middle East stability, supposedly.

Thus it's also a threat to much of the world's oil supply, supposedly, if it does cause instability in the region. Of course, WE caused instability in the region, even strengthened Iran's hand, and we're paying for it, but the world isn't threatening to bomb US for some reason.

It may or may not be a threat to Israel, BUT (and you'll never hear any politician admit this next part) what is a threat to Israel is not ALWAYS a threat to the United States.
