Did anyone notice the look on Bush's face as he walked out to sign FISA bill?
The smirk? The look on his face that said, "I won. I stuck it to those Democrats again. They just don't know how to play politics. It feels good. Sometimes I almost feel guilty for taking advantage of such weak opponents. If I had been on the other side, I would have impeached me a long time ago...Yeah, I almost feel guilty....almost."

14. Bush is more of a man than Clinton or Carter ever were
Edited on Thu Jul-10-08 11:06 AM by Ezlivin
Bush absolutely does whatever the fuck he wants to, 24/7. He gets his way. He lies, he swaggers and he smirks.

He gets away with everything.

And all we can do is whine and complain. Oh, we could contact Democratic representatives but they have no power. No, none at all. They can't filibuster, they can't subpoena, they can't investigate.

Just imagine if anyone in the Clinton or Carter administration had flat-out ignored a subpoena from Congress. Imagine Clinton lying about Monica, then lying again, then lying again and refusing to testify under oath. Imagine a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11 occurring on Clinton or Carter's watch and then seeing them refuse to start an independent investigation and when one finally starts, starving it of money or time to do its job. Then imagine that they refuse to testify about their actions under oath, alone or on the record. Then try to imagine another terrorist attack, an anthrax attack, occurring that targets Republicans who just happen to oppose their policies.

Imagine finding out that Clinton or Carter used propaganda. Or that they made sure that every lawyer hired for the Department of Justice were hard-core liberals.

You can't imagine this in your wildest dreams. You can't imagine the set of balls Clinton or Carter would have had to blatantly break both national and international laws, then lie or dissemble about it.

But not only does Bush do all of the above and more, but he does it with a smirk and while enjoying more time off from his job than any other president.

Face it: Bush needs a wheelbarrow to haul his set of balls around.

19. That is not my definition of a man.
A real man shows compassion and diplomacy to people he disagrees with.

A real man thinks things through and does what's right, not what's easy.

A real man tells the truth.

A real man protects those under his care; he doesn't set them up for more danger and violence.

Bush is no man. He's a scared, spoiled little boy.

42. What makes a man?
LEBOWSKI
It's funny. I can look back on a
life of achievement, on challenges
met, competitors bested, obstacles
overcome. I've accomplished more
than most men, and without the use
of my legs. What. . . What makes a
man, Mr. Lebowski?

DUDE
Dude.

LEBOWSKI
Huh?

DUDE
I don't know, sir.

LEBOWSKI
Is it. . . is it, being prepared to
do the right thing? Whatever the
price? Isn't that what makes a man?

DUDE
Sure. That and a pair of testicles.

25. Male body parts are required
If you are a man.

Since you do not know me, please refrain from knee-jerk labeling.

I said nothing about women lacking courage or lacking courage because they were missing parts. I was referring to one man (Bush) as contrasted against other men (Clinton and Carter). If the discussion had involved women in any way, the referral to "balls" would have not been made.

Chill out. I'm not the enemy. I've been married for 30 years to a very independent, very strong woman who lettered in multiple sports and served with honor in the Navy. So I damn well know what a strong woman is.

Bush doesn't have any.

No coward is worse than a bully (in fact, in my experience, I'm not sure that I've ever seen anyone who truly deserves the 'coward' label who was NOT a bully) and Bush Jr is an archetypal bully. I hate bullies.

46. Bingo! sfexpat2000 nails it again!
When you are a sociopath you lack the moral braking mechanism that most of us are equipped with. It makes doing cruel, callous, and greedy things remarkably easy.

I've often thought how liberating it must be to be a sociopath, but alas, I am burdened with empathy and a conscience.
