On that Rove Prick, a what if question |
|
OK, now we know that pig faced asshole decided to ignore a subpoena from Congress, no surprise there. I think the media and Congress itself would have been stunned if he showed. It's also no surprise that Congress isn't too keen to start issuing contempt citations. Here's my what if, I may be way off base but it proposes an interesting possibility IMO.
If they run out the clock on this mis-administration, which is what I assume these criminals hope to do. Doesn't that pretty much just destroy their chances at a pardon unless ol' Gramps pulls out a win in November? If Obama is President, and I'm countin' on it, and both houses of Congress remain in the hands of the Democrats, I'm countin' on that too, then they charge chimpies minions with all kinds of shit, there's no white horse riding in with a stack of pardons is there.
Wouldn't it be fun if come next February every Federal court not taking care of Gitmo detainees is taking care of shrubbies admin crooks?
What do you think, maybe I'm just dreaming?

3. I just worry about what they will do between now and then |
|
to prevent that from happening! I think they are capable of doing SOMETHING! My mind hurts thinking about it!

2. Of course, you are dreaming. President Obama will "move ahead" in his "post-partisan" mode. |
|
Looking at the past will be deemed unproductive and diversive. He must placate all those indies and pukes he covets. The "Democratic" Congress will be of equal non-help in holding anyone accountable.

4. A judicial committee member on MSNBC (missed her name) just said they're pursuing inherent contempt. |
|
They're not going to let him get away with it this time.
I know it's hard to believe, but she was serious as a heart attack.

5. And their fines should be stupendous |

What gripes me is the fact that we all know this war was started for people to make money. That is nothing if not sick and wrong. Any of these monsters that have held a public office and used to profit personally is beyond the pale. All the profits and the interest must be stripped from these lowlife bottom-feeding scumbags. They have no consciences to feel anybodies pain, we need to get them where it hurts....in the offshore bank account.

I swear -- a lot of folks on here sound like angry ex-husbands or ex-wives who cannot forget the past and move on to a new relationship. You know the kind -- the person who wants the ex to suffer until the end of time. People seem more motivated by revenge than by moving on to a health life.
I am quite content to let Bush move back to his ranch in a few months and play cowboy.

7. Damn I wish I could do that |
|
but I think the crimes committed by these dirtbags demands a little retribution. I could always forgive an ex-wife but not if she killed the kids and burned the house down on her way out of town.

Well, politics is an interest of mine. It's not a passion. So I admit I don't get as worked up as some about the last 7 years. Maybe the fault lies with me.
I tend to be pretty calm and zen-like about most things. This country has gone through awful times in the last 200 years. These past 7 won't break us. And things will change in the future. So I don't have much interest in parading through various low-level cronies and trying them on this and that.

Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon before Nixon was ever actually convicted of anything. Therefore, Bush could do exactly the same thing with Rove and anyone else he wants. It doesn't matter if we "run out" the Bush admin--he can still pardon them all before he leaves, unfortunately, whether they've been indicted, charged, convicted, or not.
