7. One of the most useful things I've learned here at DU

has been about media outlets all over the country through putting up the Election News thread once a week. After a while, you learn how the Plain Dealer will treat a story or how the Miami Herald will spin it like a top or how the Las Vegas Sun has a liberal editorial page that flies under the radar.

That and a lot of county names. :)
