have consistently fallen for the neocons' "pro isreal" bullshit. One of the smartest people I've ever known, a community leader, turned neocon after that Lebanon/Israel war in 2006. He kept on telling me about "our people", and how we should thank Codi Rice and bush.

And then they asked someone from the Bush State Department if Israel was within the borders of the United States, and being a Bush political appointee, the idiot presumably answered, "hell if I know, but probably." Done deal. Republican normal.

This was even before he got the nomination. He came twice; cozied up to Cameron both times; on one occasion spoke at the Conservative Party Conference and among other things announced his desire to 'spread Republicanism round the globe'.
He's an idiot; and he seems to think the whole world is supposed to vote for him.
