Republicans talk down to the People, yet Democrats are the elitists?!

Whether it's Gramm telling us that the recession is all in our heads, or Republicans saying that the adults are in charge; can you really get any more self-centered than a Republican in government?

When you listen to Bush, Cheney, McCain, Gramm, and the others, doesn't it sound like they not only think they know better than us (Even though they have been wrong time and time again), but they also think they are God's gift to America?

THAT is what I'd call an Elitist.

1. At the start of his reign, one of the first things Bush did

was to systematically dismantled everything Clinton had put in place in the Executive Branch - out of nothing more than childish spite.

This included the Anti-Terrorism Task Force.

Eight months later 9/11 happened.

3. Accuse your enemies of something you yourself do

If you are a condescending elitist (in the sense that you think wealthy white heterosexual american males are superior to non-wealthy, non-white, gay, non-americans and women) then accuse your enemies first. That way when they counteraccuse you it doesn't sound as powerful.

It actually works too. Tons of voters in America think the dems are elitist but the conservatives who fought tooth and nail to keep women, blacks, latinos, the poor, non-americans and gays oppressed are everyday joes.
