I don't think I can take much more of all this campaign noise from the cable...

I don't think I can take much more of all this campaign noise from the cable...
Jesus, I left the TV on in the other room while I was working in my office.

For the past four hours I have heard four sets of people talk about the exact same "stories" over and over and over and over again. No new insights as far as I could tell, just the same old same old.

I know that some people watch Kieth but don't watch Matthews or Abrams or whoever else is on. But who exactly does it serve to have the same shit just dressed up slightly different. Afterall, it's still shit no matter what you pile on top of it.

I don't know, but four hours of yak with nothing of substance, nothing to really tell someone interested in policy, or someone who is trying to get beyond the gotcha shit or the he said she said crap that really amounts to a hill of beans at the end of the day.

I know it wasn't all that different in the good old days, people will always base their political decisions on feelings and gut emotion, but to try and present all this blab as if it was important is doing nobody any good except the small circle of panelists that rotate from one show to another, one network to the next.

We deserve what we demand, I guess.

I'm reading my news from now on.

1. I've been 100% online-news for years now.
Partly because I can't afford cable, but mostly because I can decide whether to click on a story, rather than watching what they want me to think.
