transcript later today.
Vince Bugliosi is showing that Bush knowingly lied to the public, and withheld intelligence reports that documented that Iraq did not pose any threat to the US. Joe is making the error of trying to argue with him, based on emotion. Vince has his facts laid out.

36. Bugliosi appeared to refer to Joe as Mike....... |
|
which, was all Joe had to use against Bugliosi.........one could sense/feel the insulting tone Joe was oozing and hinted at that oversight to mislead the audience into maybe thinking Bugliosi was stupid or foolish. I think Bugliosi needs to contain his anger and channel it, because he is absolutely on target.
I liked how Bugliosi said, "He may of had WMD's but it didn't suggest he was going to use them". HUGE POINT....for the worse case scenario if there really were ANY WMD's......
Bush Co..... Lied! No way around it.

His only tactic was to appeal to emotion, to try to avoid facts. His goal was to make Vince Bugliosi angry, so that he could dismiss the book as the rantings of an angry man. He couldn't debate the facts.
Bugliosi certainly won. And it was a pleasure -- an absolute pleasure -- to watch.

Vince should know that a measured, calm delivery is the only way to sell murder against a sitting president. He could have let the facts be remembered, but instead, his demeanor and inability to keep Joe's name straight will be remembered.
Chalk one up for Joe and his RNC buddies. He's one of the most effective RNC spinners out there, mainly because he understands how to shape stories without being overt.

on an op-ed for a regional newspaper, which will focus on the mainstream media's efforts to ignore or simply dismiss the book. Bugliosi has a record as a top prosecutor, and as a best-selling author. Yet there is an effort to bury the new book. There are a lot of Americans who appreciate that with the rights granted by Amendment 1, there are also responsibilities. In this case, people should read the book, no matter if they are democrats, republicans, or belong to other/no political party.

|
...were "going along with Bush" BECAUSE of the LIES. He's can't seem to separate the issue -- all the intelligence said there were WMD because Bush was lying! "You fucked up, you believed me" is NOT a defense, Joe.
Holy shit, that man is stupid. Also, couldn't understand that "WMD" is NOT a reason for war. There has to be an imminent threat to the country. There wasn't and Bush knew it.

Damn them, they're making fun of him. "Can we go to the Vince Cam? He's still talking!" Then they showed a shot of what looked like the same shot of him holding up the same White Paper he referenced during the interview. Did anyone record it? Is there any way to find out if this was a valid shot of VB trying to continue speaking, or if it was a way to try to discredit him?
I thought his interview was great. Only thing is that he didn't say anything new to those of us who have followed the criminal-in-chief's rush to war. I specifically remember the White Paper and the comments about painting a U2 as a UN plane to provoke Saddam. I haven't read the book yet, and don't think I can. Every time I read something about the false evidence, etc. to con the sheeple, I get nauseated, angry, and tearful.

47. Bugliosi is advocating |
|
the criminal prosecution of the president, hence the Congress would have zero involvement. As he notes in the book, they have failed to hold the administration responsible for their crimes and abuses of power in the civil court process known as impeachment.
I think that people are primarily interested in Bugliosi being on MSNBC's morning show, because he is beginning to get some exposure for his new book. As a former prosecutor with a high rate of convictions in murder cases, who is also the author of the best-selling "true" crime book, it would seem that more of the media should give him some coverage. When a former republican congressman attempts to dismiss the book, many DUers enjoy watching Bugliosi respond and explain why the book is important. It provides a wider audience with an opportunity to hear about a book they will not otherwise know has been published. The "sad" part of this isn't that DUers enjoyed watching the segment this morning.

I don't think he came off as angry, considering the seriousness of the information he was trying to get into the time he was allowed.
