I posted this in March of this year. It is coming to pass. Not to many people here thought it was a big deal. I guess with all of the 'crisis' we are going through it IS important.

3. The S&P 500 is lower right now than it was when Junior assumed the presidency
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 11:31 AM by Lasher
The S&P 500 was at 1,343 on January 22, 2001. At this rate Junior will be the first president to have delivered a net S&P loss during his time in office. Nobody else even comes close.

13. They can all day long but the historical record is there for everyone to see.
And S&P performance is not something that can be misrepresented like other economic indicators such as unemployment and inflation rates.

14. It Was in Jan. 2001 to be Exact
Larry Kudlow had a bunch of them on his show, and they were literally creaming in their pants over Bush's selection to office. They were crowing about how great times were ahead of us, and how the Dow would eclipse 20,000.

6. Though tragic, it's not surprising..
that G.W. Chimp will send us into our darkest days economically since Hoover. I knew it was going to be bad, but sadly this just goes beyond my imaginations.

7. it's been two years since it dipped this low, and that's devalued dollars
In real dollars, it's a decline of 10% or more in the past two years.

8. No one could have predicted that a crooked Texas oil-man, who's business track record
is a complete train wreck, would drag the economy into the crapper.
