Rove panicked instead of using the ol' BEAN.
Why would Rove refuse to testify and run?

Guilty you say?

Well, duh, of course, however...his fleeing the scene fingers him even more,

but what I don't get, is he is a fairly smooth talker(BS'er)...why not lie on the stand like every other rethug when under the gun?

Nobody is going to believe him, either way, and somehow he'd probably get out of it anyway..(since his neocon group is a lot like teflon!) so why change long standing
habits at this stage of the game?

Really, the audacity!

5. He should keep the wigs, too
His cellmate will want him to try on a variety of different looks, so he won't feel like he's fucking the same person every night. It would be a nice break from the tedium.

3. His testimony would implicate all of BushCo from top to bottom..
Regardless if he lies or tells the truth. That's the only reason they whisked him out of the country.

17. Congress knows this too. That's why they're already talking about inherent contempt. nt

11. Uh,...I guess I'm missing something. Rove's 'fleeing'?

Why would that fucker 'flee' (excuse my aweful language, please)?

The corporacrats have control over this nation and Rove is their 'baby'. He doesn't have to do anything 'cause, the powers that be have his ass covered.

Of course, Libby is loosed. Hell, maybe, Libby could be subject to another criminal charge if he fails to reveal all. Hasn't all the records from the criminal investigation been released to Congress?

Oh,...well,...my imagination is run amok, now!!!!

15. It was a calculated political move to highlight the fact that right or wrong
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 05:20 PM by librechik
The Executive, if he's ballsy and ignorant enough, will be able to overrule the Congress, no matter what. In other words, even though it is illegal and unconscionable, these thugs actually just do whatever they want and dare others to stop them. And others just don't--too cowardly or too stupid. We have discovered that normal means (i.e., Congress and the Courts,) cannot be relied on to "check " the wayward branches anymore. Theres' just not enough rock bottom belief in enough people for the check and balances system to operate like it used to.

We have at last discovered the fatal flaw in the American Experiment: You have to know it and believe in it. Not enough folks in Congress and in the Courts do anymore.

Rove's theory of the Unitary may be unconstitutional and wrong, but as long as he is allowed to get away with using it as an excuse to break laws and thumb his nose at Congress, it is a good theory that works.

So bend over. We are done.
