7. There would never even be hearings, because that would be off the table.
So even though these are BIGGER and more serious crimes, there will never be accountability.

Whew, that was close--Congress almost had to be a real check against the imperial power of the president! Good thing they scraped out of that one!

8. Actually it was Nixon's fellow Republicans who went to
him and told him they didn't have to votes to save his ass, so he had better resign. That doesn't appear to be the case now.

9. Republicans have happily given up their seats with Georgies guarantee of finanacial reward.
They may be losing the ropes of power but they are making a freaking KILLING off the treasures of this nation.
