6. I have been lucky to have known people from different cultures

all my life. One of my earliest memories was of two Chinese students who used to come over to my parent's house for dinner. They had been cut off from their families after the Communist Revolution there, and were making the US their home. My grandmother had an apartment house on the campus of a major Midwestern university, and she catered to foreign students, especially Kenyans.
