Rove: above the law?
Karl Rove's behavior regarding his subpoena by the House of Representatives is an insult to every law-abiding American. The same treatment that would be visited upon the average joe who ignored a House subpoena should be given to him. If that means throwing him in jail, then do so. He is only acting the way his former boss acts, ignoring the law and doing whatever he pleases. We were a nation of Laws before the advent of Bush, and we will be again, if we hope to survive as a nation. It is time to hold these criminals to account for their unlawful behavior, starting with Rove. Now.

2. Only to be pardoned.
I would rather see Karl do some jail time. I can wait for when Obama is president.

3. Didn't you know that "Le Roi" is the law and above it?
It apparently applies to all his noble bootlickers as well. We really do have a King George and are a monarchy. Anybody who is still under the delusion that we are a Democracy that believes justice applies to everyone really need to open their eyes.

5. He's probably in Germany
where the borders are open and the beer runs unending.

I'd love to make a citizen's arrest.

10. Isn't Germany where Rumsfeld was almost caught?
So why isn't Karl Rove on that list also. Without Karl Rove there would have been no g.w. bu$h presidency, no war and over a million Iraqi's still safe and alive.

11. Did you listen to the latest interview of law professor Turley?
where he says US law-breaking, national and international, has become so egregious in the U.S. that we're at the point where other countries' legal systems will have to interfere. Turley said he never thought he would be saying that, but it's gotten that bad due to Rove/Bush/Cheney et al.

I wonder how many western countries were complicit in rendition and torture and don't want to be outed, so will keep their mouths shut. I think those countries' leaders were set up a long time ago by the Bush administration in anticipation that it would come to this.

9. Harriet Miers Redux?
On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, the House Judiciary Committee voted 22-17 to cite Miers for contempt of Congress for her failure to appear before the committee in response to its subpoena.<7> On Feb. 14, 2008, the full House of Representatives voted to cite her for contempt by a vote of 223-32. Many Republicans walked out of the chamber in protest, deriding the priorities of the speaker in calling the vote, as opposed to a vote on a surveillance bill. <8>

And? Then what happened?
