In just four months, we will see the biggest shift in dialog EVER! |
|
Running the economy will all of the sudden become the responsibility of the new President.
Every potential scandal that even comes close to the President will be treated by the media like they found the Holy Grail... again and again.
Getting an up-or-down vote on judicial nominees will no longer be a priority
The media will magically wise up and find out that it is OK to criticize the President
The shift in the dialog will be so massive that you can expect collateral damage, my prediction? Instead of swimming after 30 minutes after one is done eating, people will say that you're supposed to swim before 30 minutes before one begins eating.

1. It's going to be a busy time for Media Matters |
|
They're going to have to hire extensively to have enough staff on hand to chronicle the media flip.

All those Congressional Repubs (and some Dems) who fell over themselves giving Shrub everything he wanted will start screaming to high heaven about the Constitution once Obama takes the reigns of power they so willingly expanded for Bush.

He won't be sworn in until January 20th, 2009.
Then it will be his responsibility and the Congress to fix the economy. ;)
I suspect home heating oil will be a huge slice of the conversation, as well.
And everything else that has gone south.... not much will change though.
There is a learning curve for any new President. I've heard at least 100 days.
He has a lot to learn and read and re-organize and people to fire and hire.
I'm thinking Spring is when we'll hear anything new changing, as long as we
don't have a crisis to deal with too.

7. By Jan. 20th then media will be done with all their hand wringing and mea culpas... |
|
... for the past 8 years, and will be ready to fix their guns on President Obama. By then they will have "learned their lessons" and never "give the benefit of the doubt" again... until the next Repuke gets elected that is.
