Simple solution for right wing friends and families
No need to share their emails - we know there are wackos out there.
Simply turn these wingnuts on to Bob Barr.
Bob Barr knows the republicans are so far up Israel and Saudi Arabia's ass that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. He can speak their language, and give them an alternative to Mcsame.

Easy and effective:patriot:

1. This is Generally Good Practice
The way to blunt the rw screed is to direct them to Barr. The more votes for Bob Barr in North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Florida, the fewer votes for John McCain.

And it frees up so much energy!

Kinda like when I started agreeing with my rw in-laws that Texas REALLY should be allowed to secede from the Union. Want to be an independent nation? Great. God Bless. Really.

It's a "Nader" kind of thing, you see.

3. Texas actually has a legal right to secede
I think we would all be on board with them going it alone. We could split North Dakota in two (North Dakota and Dakota). We won't even need to change the flag.

5. Not Sure You're Right, but Amen!

I've heard this argument from the Texas secessionists. They claim "Texas was the only state to come into the Union as an independent country." While Texas DID come into the Union as an independent country, by treaty, both Hawaii and California were "independent countries" before they entered the Union. Now, it's sort of a joke for California to claim that (even though the California state flag says "California Republic" on it), because California was an "independent nation" long enough for their application for statehood to travel across the U.S. to Congress, in 1849. It was like three weeks.

Hawaii has a better claim, since it was a monarchy before it became a U.S. Territory. (think Queen Liliolukolani -- which I would be amazed if I spelled right).

But that's all a distraction. I'd vote in favor of Texas secession tomorrow.

ON EDIT: We wouldn't have to split North Dakota. What about Jefferson? (The northernmost counties of California, and the southern counties of Oregon.) This has been proposed by dope-smokers for decades.

10. It's been proposed
There was a guy in the California Legislature about 8-10 years ago who introduced a bill to split Cali into three states -- one a "Jefferson-like" pot state, including the northern tier of California counties. I think they wanted to make either Redding or Eureka the capital. Then there'd be "mid-California," extending down to the Tehachapi's, with the capital remaining in Sacramento. And of course, there'd be "South California," capital Los Angeles.

And of course we'd need six U.S. Senators too. Haha. It'll never happen.

4. Did Barr really give up the drug war
I know the independence party was split on allowing Barr rep them due to his drug war support.

7. You Missed My Point about Nader
The enemy of my enemy (or in this case, the opponent of my opponent) is my friend.

The Brits did it for 200 years in India. Divide and conquer.

Or didn't you read the results of the 2000 election? You know, the one Ralph Nader won for George W. Bush.

8. these wingnuts ain't gonna vote black (or muslim)
So they should stay home or vote Barr.

PS- everyone that voted for the FISA compromise (voted for curbing privacy rights) voted for overturning Roe v. Wade. Roe v. Wade is based on the fundamental right of privacy (specifically, the right for a women to receive medical treatment in private). Once "security" trumps privacy, pretty much anything can be curbed in the name of security.

12. Some nut that is popular in Georgia
Anti- Iraq war, NAFTA... very much in the Ron Paul way...

He is so popular in Georgia that it is possible that he may cause OBAMA to take Georgia (due to the large black vote and split GOP vote for McCain and Barr).

He would be worth tossing some bucks to, if you have maxed out your Obama donations.
