Uhm, Federal Reserve and Treasury People...About this housing bail-out... |

We don't have ANY money. None. Zero. It doesn't exist.
And, our credit isn't so good. We kind of blew it in this little venture called Iraq. I am not sure where all of it went. I heard that some of the money (8 billion of it) was bundled in footballs and passed around among the contractors.
But, I don't know if I would rush over there to get those dollars. They may not be worth enough to even pay for your trip over there. The oil countries are talking about abandoning the dollar completely. But, hey, it may not be all bad. Maybe we can burn them for fuel this winter.
The average American savings is net zero. I know, we have been so selfish and irresponsible. I am sorry. I spent the last of it yesterday at the supermarket on a pound and a half package of chicken for 11.25.
Maybe China will give you some more money. You can offer up what is ever remaining of our landmark buildings (but forget the Chrysler building, it sold last week the Saudis) for collateral. And, speaking of the Saudis, maybe Bush could go over and ask them for some money, he is always holding their hands. They have lots (well, the Royalty does), maybe you could get it from them. Oh, wait. I lost my mind. You can't ask for money from the people who actually HAVE it.
I guess you will just have to put it on our kids credit. And, why worry right? By that time, China will probably be half underwater from global warming, they won't be able to collect.
Never mind. I see you had the right plan all along.

2. the "liberal media" was catching onto this ... that we would be borrowing money |
|
to do this ... now, mind you, they didn't do that when the Repukes bailed out private investors ... just now because it's a "Dem-controlled" (oops, wait, Joe Lieberman sided with the Repukes again) Congress ...
