Italy: Mosques must recognize Israel

Italy may take its discriminatory practices to a new level, calling for measures to make mosque leaders quit unless they recognize Israel.

Action must be taken so that mosque supervisors recognize Israel, said European Affairs Minister Andrea Rochi.

We must force those who do not recognize Israel to leave the mosques, he added, according to Italian news agency Il Tempo.

Criticism has been leveled at Italy as it has failed to end fingerprinting gypsies as part of a census program, despite a European Parliament (EP) recommendation to stop.

Many Muslims around the world do not recognize Israel, saying the United Nations had no right to allow the establishment of a state in a land that has long belonged to the Palestinians

yesterday it was the head of Egypt telling one religion to kool aide another

and now the head of Italy tells a religion what to do

these two men sure do think well of themselves, don't they.

little, rigid men

1. I Don't
This seems to be what the Italians wanted, and this way they can all point the collective finger at Bersculloni if the s**t hits the fan.

As for Egypt, it's not unexpected.

2. the fucktarded part is
all of these idiots, including many supporters of Israel-the-State, continually confuse Israel with Judaism, and Judaism with Zionism.

It's a place on the map.

Asking a mosque to acknowledge a state is like asking an apple to acknowledge a clam. I wonder, do they require synagogues to do anything special in return? Just curious. I think they should all be sent to their room without supper.

Yeah, benevolent tyranny is still tyranny, either or both ways.

3. The whole thing is based in Zionism.
Old texts and some people's blind obedience to them. Look it up.

5. oh I completely get it
hence the cynicism.

If I were me, which I am, and I were able to change anything at all about the world, I would subtract religion altogether.

It certainly wouldn't fix war, but it would make hatred a lot more honest, and would make hating somebody require a lot more effort and justification.

4. Look for the progress
At least the political leaders are telling the religious leaders what to do. Not too long ago, politicians would curry favor with religious leaders and would go do their bidding.

I'm waiting for political leaders to say "that part in the Bible where it says to go pray in a closet? why don't you STFU and go do that while we nail the door shut?"

Religion is the opium of the masses -- Karl Marx
