6. Bingo... and you know what else? they'll be successful at it....

Most of America resents the environmentalist movement.... because it (rightly) tells Americans the truth that they don't want to hear.

So any opportunity they can muster to make environmentalists look bad, they're going to go at it with gusto.

Nobody likes to be told that their behavior is causing the destruction of the planet.

3. It's not a conspiracy--it's right out in the open
daring us to call their bluff (we won't)

4. No, they work for the GOP. Their agenda is pro-war and anti-dem.
Been that way since Reagan IMO.

5. it sure as hell can't be the fault of this administration....
the f***ing dems have been in power for nearly 2 years, it must be them...it can't possibly be the 12 years of repukes or the 7+ years of jr...

7. well if they were any smarter they'd all be working at NASA
but they aren't the sharpest marbles in the bag to start with.

You have to give 'em a break though, they're journalists. Kind of like Landover Babtist (www.landoverbaptist.org) hair burners and real estate agents, except, really dumb.

:P

I don't think they're actually smart enough to conspire. I'm thinking it's more like an emergent property of having primordial ooze reporting the news.

8. Since 1994 or so...
The repukes have been the press's most reliable sources of "hot stories", truth or not immaterial. What the repukes have done is train a generation of reporters, columnists and editors to make them their goto source for the next hot scoop. It is, in truth. laziness and Pavlovian bell responses on the part of the press.

And as DU'er Tace says about his time as a shop steward at UPI: A lot of the new, young reporters are whiny, sniveling Randians, who think they are socially and economically orders of magnatude above the lumpen proletariat. Sure, they liked the union money and bennies, but they still resisted the union at every turn. They thought that management was they close, personal friends, who had their best interests at heart.

9. No.
There is no conspiracy among the GOP-controlled media to blame liberals for high gas prices.

There are orders to blame liberals for all the failures of the last 7 plus years of GOP rule.

10. I'm with some of the others
You can't call it a conspiracy when they are doing it openly.

Gas prices have TRIPLED during Bush's watch...Oil is almost 5x more per barrel.

The media and the Dems should be PILING on those numbers...they so far out of the realm of the norm that the only explanation is manipulation by the Bush Admin.

Yet somehow, we are being told that there simply isn't enough oil and that we need to drill for more...to send to someone else.
