Anyone who is out of work, or can't pay for medicine or rent or their kids new shoes knows exactly how wrong the GOP is about this issue.

As for your list, there's one problem with your premise- The GOP was never "Wrong," they meant to do everything they did.

Cold, calculated decisions that killed people and made them richer and more powerful.

We are just seeing the beginning of the economic crisis this has caused...if the GOP can sell the idea that our economic pain is "just our imagination" then they seem to believe they won't be held accountable for the meltdown.

I of course disagree. Yes, we have some of, if not the best doctors in the world. But what's the point of having all the best doctors and care in the world if nearly 20% of the population are effectively denied access because they can't afford it? (uninsured, underinsured)

It seems like to me you either need to be a) wealthy, b) dirt poor, or c) lucky enough to have great insurance provided through a generous employer to enjoy the full benefits of the healthcare system. Medicare has its flaws; Part D definitely needs improvement. And don't get me started on the VA... sure they provide great care but for some people it seems you need to write a doctorate thesis on your condition to even get seen to and even then that's no guarantee.
