For nearly 100 MILLION people, the New Yorker cover could be true.
69% of US citizens do *not* think Obama is a Muslim. Not that there's anything wrong with being Muslim. But for the 31% who are either not sure he isn't or who think he is, the cover of the New Yorker might be interpreted as a true. And it waters, feeds, and fertilizes their stupidity.

That is frightening to consider.

One Hundred Million People do not get the New Yorker's satire.

Running that cover is indefensible.

3. Would that they did.
If they read it, they'd knw it was satire.

They don't. And that image will go miles to making them say "See ..... told ya."

Make no mistake. That image will be *e*v*e*r*y*w*h*e*r*e*.

Dumbfuckistan. It is not a place, but a state of mind.

4. Does that matter?
You can bet they're going to run a cover as audacious as that over and over again in the MSM. How many faux news viewers will see something like that and say "If even those pinko bastards at The New Yorker think that Obama is a terrorist, then it must be true." I think you overestimate the intelligence of the typical swing voter.

2. Betcha someone gets arrested for ripping off the cover
and that will only feed the wolves further.

Maybe this will make some of them think, but most will just laugh and say "yep that's just about right".

5. allow me to defend it
1- The Dems chose Barack Hussein Obama as their candidate. An unknown with non-Christian sounding name. And black.

2- The NY'er is an intellectual mag. Not a DLC publication. They sell mags, they don't sell the DLC platform.

3- You can't blame an intellectual magazine for 31% of a stupid population.

If you wanted to win in 2008, you would have supported Bigdog and Hillary. The right wing would never have gotten the best of them and the corporations (FOX NEWS, Diebold) would have helped Hillary win.

I don't ever think that I have met a Christian named Hussein.

6. defend it and support it
When you see that cover posted on someone's office wall, laugh.
"That magazine sure stuck it to those nazis and their smears, didn't they?"
If they knit their brow, and can't follow what you mean, then turn them on to Bob Barr.
It is all win win:toast:
