Phelps and his inbred brood have lost a big lawsuit, the support of anyone in the military, and lately, they've even lost the publicity they thrive on.

When was the last time you heard about any of his protests?

Thanks to them picketing military funerals, they lost most of the conservative support they had in the past.

Well, now one the nuttiest far-right commentary site, WorldNetDaily has dumped on Phelps too.
For picketing at Tony Snow's funeral.


It's like I said before, when Phelps himself finally dies, that family and church is going to fragment, most likely over money.

Even if Fred Phelps disappears, this isn't exactly the last straw of the anti-gay extremist movement. Especially if we keep winning rights and mainstream acceptance, a tiny minority who won't stand for it might become brutally violent. There could be a flareup in hate attacks as the last few hard-core bigots, frustrated that society has abandoned them, decide to "drag a few queers down with us." Believe me - it probably WILL happen.
