Racism is very real. Why any presidential candidate would want to
underemphasis its existence, is inexplicable to me:

Police say driver hit cyclist, said blacks 'have to die'

Bicyclist Mekeda Cato, 25, was struck by a motorist in Daytona Beach and later found out why she may have been a target.

Driver Thomas Darryl Cosby, 56, screamed blacks "have to die" and acknowledged he targeted Cato, police said. Cosby was charged with hate crimes as a result.

He has been charged with aggravated battery and simple battery, and both were classified as hate crimes.

According to police, Cosby said he saw Cato, of Daytona Beach, riding on the sidewalk as he drove and then targeted her with his 1998 Chevrolet Malibu.
