"I believe 9/11 could have been prevented if we'd had a Republican president at the time," Meehan said Wednesday on CNN's "American Morning."

And who was president on 9/11/2001?

Mike Meehan, a St. Cloud, Florida, businessman who paid to post the billboards in the Orlando area, said former President Clinton should have put a stop to Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda before 9/11. He said a Republican president would have done so.

"I believe 9/11 could have been prevented if we'd had a Republican president at the time," Meehan said Wednesday on CNN's "American Morning."

He's saying if a repug was in the WH before 9/11, it wouldn't have happened.

39. Yeah, I love it when the Repukes go after Clinton for doing nothing
to respond to the USS Cole attack, which took place a few months before Bush took office.

I say, "Name one thing W did to respond to the Cole attack before 9/11 happened."

They can't name one thing. But I can. He ordered the FBI to go easy on the Saudis,
including relatives of Osama. He shut down an FBI investigation of suspected terrorist
financiers. He ignored warnings from 3 FBI offices and 13 countries. He ignored warnings
from the Mossad of 19 terrorists within the USA who were planning something big, which
warnings named names. The four names that have been released include Mohammed Atta and
three other alleged 9/11 hijackers. Condi ignored Richard Clarke's plan to initiate
military action against al Qaeda, and she demoted Clarke so he no longer had
cabinet-level access.

9/11 could not have happened without a whole lot of help from the Bushcists.

Bush was in office for eight months beforehand, and had Colin Powell pay tribute to the Taliban. Poppy and Ray-gun were the ones who gave Osama money and weapons in the first place.

He fails no matter how he construes it.

18. Fucking retard. I hate people like that. Woke up on 9-11 and finally started paying attention.
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 02:51 PM by jobycom
Anyone awake during the Clinton administration knew that Clinton was obsessed with terrorism and Bin Laden. Liberals turned on him because of his legislation to increase surveillance tactics. Republicans accused him of chasing a boogeyman. After the African Embassy bombings Clinton fired missiles into Afghanistan to hit Bin Laden, and conservatives went ape-shit. "He's targeting an innocent man!" they screamed. "He's attacking aspirin factories to make people forget about Lewinsky."

The people who deserve blame for 9-11, aside from those who actually pulled it off, are the Republicans who wanted so bad to impeach and remove Clinton for ANYTHING they could think of that they completely ignored everything that was happening all around them. Clinton wasn't giving them tax cuts, he wasn't invading foreign nations to increase Halliburton's and UNOCAL's stock holdings. He wasn't trading non-white blood for white cash. So they trumped up nonsense charges against him to impeach him because they knew they couldn't defeat him any other way--he was too successful.

But NOOO, stupid fucktard with the billboard missed all that while jacking off to some failed and futile dream of being a rock star, despite lack of talent or intelligence. He saw the planes hit the towers, got a Republican email blaming Clinton for no good god-damn reason other than that the email writer knew Republicans were too stupid to do their own research, and figured "I's the smartest guy in the world cuz I knows this!"

Sickening traitorous motherfucker.

Moreover, as the credit crunch and mortgage collasped begins, Barack Obama as already been secretly inaugurated, making it all his fault.

40. I used to think so.
Richard Clarke's military operations against al Qaeda
would have put the nation on alert, warnings from 13 foreign
countries would have been heeded, dots might have been
connected.

Then somebody pointed out that if 9/11 happened in such a
manner that Gore was killed, Lieberman would have been
President. And then I wasn't so sure.
