Bill Clinton and Al Gore to deliver addresses on healthcare and environment
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/jul/16/algore.clinton?gusrc=rss&feed=networkfront

Former president Bill Clinton and Al Gore are slated for separate appearances tomorrow to discuss the issues that have dominated each man's post-White House years: lowering healthcare costs and battling climate change, respectively.

The former president will join pharmaceutical companies in New York to make a "major" announcement, likely related to Clinton's work on lowering the cost of life-saving drugs in the developing world. The former vice president will outline his thoughts on energy independence and conservation before a Washington audience.

The media has often dissected the Clinton-Gore relationship for signs of tension between two elder statesmen who still command fierce loyalty from Democratic voters. The onetime running mates shared the spotlight successfully last autumn at a meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, the former president's annual summit of world leaders.

(just received this in an email)
In a speech in Washington, DC, Nobel Laureate and Former Vice President Al Gore will issue a major challenge, essentially pressing the "reset" button on how we think about energy and climate, and how we can create prosperity in America.

His speech will generate a great deal of attention. Since you are a We campaign member, we wanted to make sure you heard about it in advance. We'll email you when we've posted the video highlights, action steps and other resources -- so stay tuned for breaking news!
