i can get away with sending out such a well researched pile of facts. if only a few of the 100 or so that i sent pass it on, it worked.

but a flyer is a good idea. maybe someone could put them into a flyer, and du could post a pdf that folks could print and distribute.

10. This is my problem with this action.

Everyone knows not to send me anything like this because it's a type of spam to me. The people in my address book who really need to read this are the same ones who send me emails about how Christian children should be allowed to pray at public football games :eyes: They won't even read it, and probably just shoot me back an Obama-is-Muslim email--it won't have convinced them of anything. These are family members and this kind of action has caused schisms in the past--plus I just can't do to them what I preach they not do to me.

The other folks in my email list are progressives, mostly activists of one kind or another. They're not voting for McCain no matter what.

But I like the idea of flyers. I can do that. Thanks for the idea.

I don't have a personal emailing list, so what I did instead was send it to a friend of mine who I know is into that sort of thing - he has a list with his friends and family and they exchange emails all the time. Got a message back from him saying "Thanks, I sent it to 30 people!"

So technically I only sent it to one person, but still got it out there ;)

40. This works as a compromise for me.

I don't tend to mass forward to people. And I'm waiting for a certain relative to send me something outrageous before I reply with a well chosen reply to all, after which I'll again be off her forward list for awhile.


But I know someone with lists who probably will broadcast it. I've sent it to her and will click complete once she verifies that.

Occasionally I send overtly political stuff to my many email lists, but oly that stuff I write myself, usually in response to someone else's ignorance. Since I'm the first one to spank those who'd attempt to propogate RW nonsense, it would be highly hypocritical of me to use my reader/author forums to promote MY political agenda.
