2. (OPH) For those who think this is a completely random, dumb post...
... there is an old episode of "Alving and the Chipmunks" from 1988 where Dave, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore take a trip to Berlin, Germany. Alvin meets a little girl who has a brother who lives on the other side of the Berlin wall. I can't remember all the details of the episode- I've seen it only once in my life, when I was 6- but somehow the chipmunks get in trouble with the police. They are sent to the "rock pile," which turns out to be some kind of stage or venue, and they sing a song about the Berlin Wall coming down- "Let the wall fall down, tumble to the ground..." The loud sound and vibrations of the music make the wall crumble and tumble to the ground. Once it comes down, people on both sides are reunited.
Then Alvin wakes up. He is on the plane sitting next to Dave just as they are about to land in Berlin. Dave points out the window and shows Alvin the Berlin Wall, still standing. Alvin realizes it was all just a dream... "but it doesn't have to be" he says, as the episode ends.

People give credit to Bruce Springsteen, the Pope, and Ronald Reagan for the fall of the Berlin Wall. I say, what about Alvin and the Chipmunks?

Peace,

3. I'd say they deserve more credit than Reagan
Reagan tried his best to push us to the brink of war with the Soviets with his cowboy mentality. Thankfully cooler heads were prevailing in Moscow.

7. I hadn't thought of that, but it's a nice idea.
Might keep him occupied for a couple days and give his handlers a chance to rest.
