An observation on Obama
I have read on here, there and other places that the O man will not impeach or that he is for more nuclear power plants etc. When I read what he actually says it becomes apparent that what he is doing is not taking the bait and sabotaging his own campaign by taking on partisan issues that the re:puke:s win elections with. In my view what he is showing me is just how smart and savy he really is. This man is a long long way from peaking just yet

1. K&R - Thanks for the post!
With all we're up against with this election, it helps to feel good about SOMETHING!

2. Not taking on partisan issues?
If he's running for Pres, doesn't he have to take on partisan issues? I mean, what else is the election about if not taking on partisan issues?

I think Obama needs to take a clear stand on as many partisan issues as he can, in order to draw a distinction between himself and BigMac.

Maybe I'm not savvy enough, but I don't see how not taking a position is seen as a good thing.

4. Ahhh
That's a little better. Now I understand. You don't want Obama getting into a jam on the RW'ers hot-button issues. Makes sense to a degree. But I also don't want Obama looking like some middle of the road guy afraid to speak his mind on tough issues. If he shows that predilection, it will also be attacked on the basis that he has no core values, or whatever crap the MSM will say.

If he makes clear distinctions between himself and Mac, then he will win easily. My concern is he's going to run toward the middle and the two are just going to blend together as the typical scared politician trying to please everybody by saying nothing of interest.

7. and of course it could be I have my head so far up his ass to not be seeing too clearly
And yes he does have a fine line to hold there because he not only is running against mCSame he's also having to do battle with the press of which should have no dog in this fight but they sure do.

5. Lots of people see that as waffling or indecision. It does give that appearance.
If that's what it takes to win, the choice is meaningless.

6. I think I trust Obama enough. IF he hears from the People, he will respond. What I'm WORRIED about
is:

#1 - HOW will "hearing" (from the People) be defined?

#2 - WILL "the People" do the WORK of being "heard"?

11. YES
That was a great ruling.

And Obama cannot alienate gun owners or he is in for a hell of a fight.
