I get absolutely disgusted when the "fabulous success"
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 12:39 PM by OwnedByFerrets
of this so-called surge is discussed by the bloviating heads. The death of hundreds of thousands of citizens of the Sovereign country of Iraq are NEVER mentioned. How can this shit be a "success" when the result is brought about by so much death and destruction. Answer, IT CANT BE. No matter what happens to the future of this poor country, it can never ever be considered a success.

1. It was a success for Bush
And thus, it is a "success" to the MSM.

Bush got the Dem majority to send more troops with less funding for them and more for Haliburton and companies like Lockheed Martin, and all he had to do was pout a little.

Besides, this is Imperial America- we win when Iraq surrenders their oil or every one of them is dead.

2. They have to say that. They've got nothing else. They are weaving
"Emporer's New Clothes" out of thinner & thinner stuff.

3. When Bush started rattling his saber for this Iraqi war, the broadcast media
in my area started rhapsodizing on the "winds of war" as if it was something glamorous. I was getting email on how to profit from the upcoming war. This was before there was talk with Congress, the UN or anything. I really want to hold all those enablers accountable along with the main perpetrators.

4. It's soooooo Sad, almost overwhelming: the deaths of Innocent CHILDREN are justified.
I wish there were a way to keep the bloody pictures of crushed and mutilated children constantly in front of these self-congratulatory auto-erotic media millionair$$$ all of the time.

I no longer recognize my country.
