6. Do you think
Bush and his gang of war mongers have figured out it's cheaper to "negotiate" and cut a deal with the big oil countries in the Middle East, than it is to "invade" them and spend trillions to have it all, and then find out they will never have complete control because the people of those countries are not as stupid as they thought they were?

I bet we could have gotten Iraq's oil for a few billion instead of the trillions we will end up spending, and NOBODY would have had to die over the greed of the big oil companies and idiots like Bush and Cheney!

I also agree, not till after labor day will we see any significant drop in gas prices. They, big oil companies, will make the biggest haul since Bush took office this year, of that I am willing to bet! The hedge funds, investment firms that bought up oil, and speculators will make a killing this year also. Bush's "BASE" will be the only ones who far well in this mess he has gotten us into! Damn I will be so happy when he leaves office!

2. Not in the near future.
Gas prices go up sometimes daily when oil prices to up, yet when oil comes down, it takes months to see any drop in price. Gas went up here 3 cents per gallon on Monday, now at $4.35. Diesel went up to $5.13. I don't see any chance of a price drop till maybe in late August, but probably not till after labor day. The big gas companies are going to get every last dollar they can this year, and they have been doing so since last fall, because Bush will be gone next year, and they know they can no longer play their games when Obama takes office. Congress has been slow to do anything about speculators, the shadow markets, and the Enron loop hole, if they had done something back in January we might not have been paying so much this year, but you know congress, no backbone at all!
