I helped wear out my friend's "reading copy" of Watchmen back in the day. Read it three times in a couple months.

Thanks for posting.

3. My pleasure
I was going to wait until tomorrow or Saturday to see it on the big screen first, but couldn't resist.

Looks very faithful to the graphic novel.

13. See the HI_DEFINITION trailer at...
http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/watchmen/high.html

Opens with clips from the "making" of Dr. Manhattan.

For those wondering what all the excitement is about, "Watchmen" is the only graphic novel to make TIME's 100 best novels of the 20th century. Set in 1985 -- at the start of Richard Nixon's fifth term as President -- the story begins with the murder of a popular costumed vigilante, "The Comedian," most well known to the public for his exploits leading to the American victory in Vietnam (the sort that make William Calley look like an amateur).

Brian K Vaughn is a genius.

If you're into Marvel stuff, his series Runaways is pretty neat.

11. The Mars structure looks exceptionally plastic if you still frame it.
Thanks for the Apple link. Hope this turns out to be excellent. It has some "look", but I'm not sure yet about the "feel". I'm not getting the feel I'd hoped for from most of the characters. I'm open to changing this opinion.

12. About time!!
Zack Snyder is terrific, but I still wish Terry Gilliam had directed (it's rumored that back in the 1990s, when the film was first being considered, Gilliam had wanted John Lydon to play Rohrschach). Jeffrey Dean Morgan should be great as The Comedian.
