Hahahahahahaha -Smoker who has 10 cigars a day celebrates his 100th birthday
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2305005/Smoker-who-has-10-cigars-a-day-celebrates-his-100th-birthday.html

Since his first puff in 1917 he has smoked 153,000 cigars and 715,400 cigarettes and drunk a shot of whisky in his morning cup of tea every day since the age of 24. He has not suffered any serious health problems related to smoking or drinking.

His mother-in-law got him hooked on whisky, which he drinks without fail as soon as he gets up, before he has even had breakfast.

"She said the best thing for a woman is for her to drink whisky before she does anything, every day," he said. "I don't feel my age. I've still the mind of a young man. But if I had the company of a good woman, I'm sure I'd feel 40 years younger in a flash."

He sure looks happy

Hypothetical situation. Let's say that I created a brand of whiskey that gave 99.9% of its drinkers cancer after 20 years. If my whiskey was consumed by a million people, I'd be able to introduce you to a thousand people who drank it every day with no ill effects after 20 years. After 40 years, I'd be able to introduce you to 1. That one person could swear by it all he wants ("I think it's a lie! I've had Tumor brand whiskey every morning for 40 years without ANY signs of cancer!"), but that wouldn't negate the fact that 999,999 of his fellow drinkers would be in their graves.

My uncle smoked three packs a day for almost 30 years, and everyone was sure he'd die of cancer or emphysema. The man died quietly in his sleep of an aortic aneurism.

17. Smokers - and for some reason male smokers especially -
are more prone to aortic anerisms. Oh so I was told when my uncle had his, though he was lucky and his doctor found it in time to operate. Uncle lived several more years, but he did (finally) quit smoking.
