Edited on Sun Jul-20-08 07:38 AM by Solly Mack
Maybe even a toast to arbitrary quantities...

Ah, shucks. Never mind. My cup is empty.

I slay me.

I enjoyed the 'toon - immeasurably.

Oh, I did it again.

Let me just k/r this and go...

7. I've never seen that pic before.
Chimpy looks really uncomfortable. Too bad that pic didn't get more attention. It could have been the equivalent of Nixon on the beach in wing tips.

8. Three things jump out to me about that picture.
1) Pretty obvious that Bush is uncomfortable next to this guy and can't wait to get out of there.

2) He's not actually touching the bar. It's like it's disease ridden, with common slob germs to him. The jacket sleeves touch the edge of the bar, and the hands hover just over it.

3) The O'Douls bottle is product placement-y perfectly set in it's angle towards the camera. Guaranteed to show that, yes, I don't drink alcohol anymore.
Painstaking protest is the sign of guilt. Once back in the limo, there was probably a nice juicy tumbler full of Jack on the rocks ready for him.

31. I think The Onion got that wrong. I'm pretty sure that's a thoroughly disabused
Bud Crandall from The Onion's "Bush: Our Long National Nightmare of Peace and Prosperity Is Finally Over".

"After eight years of relatively sane fiscal policy under the Democrats, we have reached a point where, just a few weeks ago, President Clinton said that the national debt could be paid off by as early as 2012," Rahway, NJ, machinist and father of three Bud Crandall said. "That's not the kind of world I want my children to grow up in."

As for who'd make a better president, that was pretty obvious too.

22. Having once been a Snowbird myself and camped out in trailer parks more
often than I cared too, I believe Trudeau knows his demographic all too well, the single issue voter. Although, trailer parks don't own the market on them. You will find them anywhere but they are notorious for picking a candidate for such single superficial attributes. I knew people in Idaho who thought Larry Craig was a great guy to have a beer with. I wonder how they feel about him now.
