McCain Aide Scheunemann Linked To Bush Library ‘Cash For Access’ Scandal»

<snip>

The Times reports that a top adviser to Sen. John McCain, lobbyist Randy Scheunemann, has direct ties to the company that is alleged to have funneled the funds:

"In a further link, Randy Scheunemann, chief foreign policy and national security adviser to John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, was listed in the WSE brochure as part of its executive team. Scheunemann and Associates, his lobbying firm, is reported as having represented the Caspian Alliance in 2005.

"At the undercover meeting last week, Payne said Scheunemann had been “working with me on my payroll for five of the last eight years”. When confronted over the link to KMG, Payne declined to comment."

During his trip to Kazakhstan, Cheney ignored the country’s bad record on human rights and declared his “admiration for what has transpired here in Kazakhstan over the past 15 years.” Earlier this month, Payne told an undercover Times report that Cheney was more interested in what Kazakhstan “could do on energy” than “making them toe the line on human rights.”...http://thinkprogress.org/2008/07/20/scheunemann-payne/

2. And The Corporate Media Snoozes
Anyone remember Charlie Tri and the "White House Teas"? Or Al Gore's Budhist Temple visit? We saw endless video of Gore and monks and then the call for yet another Dandy Dan Burton inquiry. Ahhh...those were the days. :sarcasm:

No surprise the shakedown is going on to raise money abroad...most the "Rangers" are either tapped out or trying to save Gramps ass. Plus there's Biiiiiig commissions in playing the non-profit game...the one Payne seems to have boasted. He's the invisibile "fixer" this regime uses to get money and influence. Follow this lead and you'll find a lot of savory characters with money or influence...many who see Gramps election as their next big pay day.

The corporate media assumes we're too stupid...we can't connect dots or want to hear stories with guys names that are hard to pronounce. We're more interested in lapel pins and who we want to have a beer with.
